No, the process of invoice generation will remain the same under the newly introduced e-invoicing system.

E-invoicing Process:

• The taxpayer needs to generate the invoices on their accounting and billing software or ERPs in the format specified (GST INV-O1).
• The generated invoices will then be sent to the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP).
• IRP after validating the details, return the e-invoice with IRN along with digitally signed invoice and QR code.
• You can now share the e-invoice with your buyers along with QR code.

Note: A GST invoice will be considered authentic only with a valid IRN.
